Mr. Hobbs is the Founder and President of Century American Regional Center LLC, as designated by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), as well as Yellowstone Montana Regional Center LLC. He is often a featured speaker on the Employment Based EB-5 Visa investment program throughout the US and Asia.
Mr. Hobbs is a Certified Property Manager (CPM), California Real Estate Broker, Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate Realtors Institute (GRI), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and a Licensed General Contractor (B-1).
In addition to his vast senior-level development experience, Mr. Hobbs has successfully implemented and funded projects with complex financing strategies, including the formation of Community Facility Districts (CFD); New Market Tax Credits (NMTC); Tax Increment Financing (TIF); Community Block Grants (CBGs) and tax-exempt bond financing.
In 1989, Mr. Hobbs was selected by the national accounting firm of Ernst and Young as a finalist for Orange County’s “Entrepreneur of The Year” annual award. Mr. Hobbs’ developments have often appeared in national and international publications, and he has been listed in numerous bibliographies like “Who’s Who in Real Estate” and “Who’s Who in Finance and Industry.” In addition to his organization projects, he has developed projects with partners from Japan, Korea, China, and Taiwan. He often is a featured speaker at local and state conventions.
Mr. Hobbs earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and a Master’s Degree in Administration from the University of Southern California (USC). Additionally, he completed the two-year Executive Management Program at the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and attended Harvard Graduate Extended Education Programs. He holds a lifetime Teaching Credential from the State of California and has served on the business teaching faculty of the University of Southern California, California State University of Fullerton, Chapman University, and the University of Montana. Mr. Hobbs also holds the position of Trustee Professor at Chapman University.
Mr. Hobbs is the founding Director of Chapman University Center for Real Estate, as well as the former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Orange. In addition, Mr. Hobbs serves on the Board of Directors of the Orange County Business Council (Chairman of the Workforce Housing Task Force), Orange County Housing Trust, as well as the Founder and Chairman of the R.C. Hobbs Institute for Real Estate, Law and Environmental Studies at Chapman University. In addition, the City of Orange recognized Mr. Hobbs as the 2006 “Citizen of the Year.”
Mr. Hobbs and his wife of 33 years, Cathy, currently reside in the city of Orange. They have three sons, one daughter, and four grandchildren. They enjoy family trips to Lake Arrowhead and Montana.
